Student Placement at CCWS

We offer meaningful placement opportunities for students interested in community development, advocacy, social work, research, policy, and more. Whether you're looking to fulfill school requirements or deepen your understanding of trauma-informed, survivor-led work, you'll be part of a team that values care, collaboration, and growth.

Our placements are rooted in relationship, we work with you to shape a placement that aligns with your interests, values, and learning goals.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for students who are reflective, committed, and open to learning beyond the classroom. It’s not about having all the answers, it’s about showing up with curiosity, and a willingness to be in relationship with our community.

We especially welcome individuals who are:

  • Students who are survivors or have lived experience with care systems or institutional violence

  • Black, racialized, Indigenous, and 2SLGBTQ+ students

  • Students who are passionate about equity, justice, and community

  • People who bring creative ideas, life experience, and care-centered approaches
